The style, colour, visual texture, shape, emotion, kinship, memories etc… and as artists within our chosen craft, it is our bond with creativity that captures and titillates these feelings of excitement, want, and desire for our work to a great number of patrons with varying tastes and needs…

Hello there! My name is Lea-Ann, and I am the “Indie” (Independent) Dyer behind Izzie Pop Fibre & Co. Myself and the Izzie Pop team hail from the beautiful rugged mining community of Greater Sudbury, in northern Ontario, Canada. A region where it’s not uncommon to see a moose sauntering down the road, a black bear scaling a neighbours fence, the yipping of coyotes, nor the howling of a wolf…. This place we call home is a true four season paradise, a place Mother Nature has painted the most beautiful landscape pictures with gorgeous palettes of rich colours depicting the beauty of the changing seasons of our north….With a 1,000 lakes, rugged rock faces, and a deep history in mining…. It’s not a hardship to find a palette of colours to inspire and create a vast array gorgeous colourways that appeal to our patrons …

As an Artist, I have dabbled in many different mediums throughout my lifetime, fibre, leather, pottery, digital art, and most notably my work designing & creating 1/12th” scale porcelain dollhouse dolls, however, fibre has been and has always remained my first love.

There is such an immense joy creating beautiful colour palettes and using different dye methods to create coveted self-striping yarns, gradients, marls, and variegates, however… At Izzie Pop, we also create and offer a “Say it LOUD, Say it PROUD” collection of products for knitters, crocheters, and fibre enthusiasts including tumblers, mugs, key fobs, car fresheners, coasters, candles, car decals and kits… I mean often does one get the opportunity to work with two art mediums they love?… Can you say “I love my job?!”
